Ahmet
Ogras was born in 1961 in Balikesir ,
Turkey. After graduation from Middle East Technical University as a Civil
Engineer in 1988, he founded his own
construction company and he has been working as a contractor since then.
In the
pursuit of improving his painting skills, Ahmet Ogras has joined many workshops
of famous watercolor artists such as Joseph Zbukvic, Alvaro Castagnet and David
Taylor.
It was the
simplicity and poetry of watercolor painting that attracted Ahmet Ogras to the
world of watercolor. He mainly selects his
subjects from both the city life and in nature. Apart from realistic imagry and colors, he is
interested in the influence of light while interpreting subjects in his
paintings.
