Born in 1960 in Shanghai, he has the sub-senior (national secondary artist) technical title. He is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of Shanghai Artists Association, as well as the postgraduate tutor of School of Apparel & Art Design of Donghua University.
His works were awarded prizes on many occasions, among which, his “Kiln Series - porcelain source" was awarded the China National Art Prize; his Starting Board was awarded the Bronze Prize at the 6th National Watercolor and Pastel Art Works Exhibition, and his work Fugue was granted the Sliver Award at the 7th National Watercolor and Pastel Art Works Exhibition, and his painting Rhythm was awarded the first prize at the 14th Shanghai “Jiangnan Spring” Exhibition.
His painting Rhythm now is collected by the National Art Museum of China. His work Leisure is collected by Shanghai Municipal People's Government, his Fugue and Love Release are collected by Shanghai Art Museum, and his watercolor painting Star Village is collected by Australia's Armidale Museum.
